June 3 -- Bethany's Walk & 5K Run
With over 400,000 children currently in the U.S. Foster Care system and millions of children around the world waiting to be adopted: The Greater Delaware Valley branch of Bethany Christian Services is hosting “Bethany’s Walk and 5K for Children” in Fort Washington, PA, Saturday, June 3rd, to raise funds and awareness for foster care, adoption, and family preservation. September 16 -- I. O .T. A. Bus Trip
The IOTA Club is sponsoring a bus trip to the New National African American History and Cultural Museum in Washington DC. The bus leaves Friday September 15th, and returns Saturday September 16th. On going -- Italian Heritage on display at Citizen's Library
The Dorothea & Henry H. Hood Local History Center at Citizen's Library in Washington has launched an effort to collect the histories of Washington's Italian immigrants. Italian descendants are invited to share their oral and written histories, traditions and photos. The materials will be preserved in the center's new Italian Heritage Collection, along with books, magazines and other publications that celebrate and document Italian immigration into Washington, PA.
