May 17-19 -- PA Trolley Museum Welcomes "Daniel Tiger's Neighborhood"

Daniel Tiger from the hit PBS Kids series "Daniel Tiger's Neighborhood" is coming to The Pennsylvania Trolley Museum for two special weekends.

Bring along your camera & enjoy this photo-op with Daniel Tiger, ride an antique trolley from 10 am to 5 pm both weekends.

Some of the other ongoing activities include meeting adoptable furry-friends from Pet Search, A PBS outreach table, children's games & complimentary refreshments.

This event is sponsored by Washington County Tourism.

May 18 -- Veterans Brunch
At the John McIlvaine Jr. American Legion Post 902, (124 West Pike Street in Houston) Local Veterans are invited to this brunch featuring a keynote speaker, brunch & free transportation. You must RSVP by calling 724-223-4541. Call & request a pick up.

June 1 -- Sarris Candies 'Run For Alex'
This annual race is held in honor of Alex Loos -- whose life was taken too soon in 2004. Alex's love of running is why this race is the most appropriate tribute to her life. You may participate and/or sponsor the race with a monetary donation. Read more here.

June 15 -- Community Unites, 2019
Presented by Harmony Life Center & Mystro's Movement, from 11 am to 7 pm at the Main Street Pavillion in downtown Washington. The kids will love super-heros & princesses. There will also be community speakers, free food & entertainment, raffles, a DJ, face painting, and a guest appearance by former Steeler Carlton Haselrig. For more, call 724-554-0575.
