$1 Billion Gets Seat On Trump’s Board Of Peace

At least eight more countries say the United States has invited them to join President Donald Trump’s new Board of Peace overseeing next steps for Gaza. A U.S. official confirms that a $1 billion contribution secures permanent membership, while a three-year appointment requires no contribution. India, Jordan, Australia, Greece, Cyprus and Pakistan say they have received invitations, and Hungary and Vietnam say they have accepted theirs. The official member list is expected in the coming days. The board of world leaders could rival the U.N. Security Council, which U.S. vetoes have blocked from taking action to end the war.
