UNIONTOWN, Pa. – (WPXI) – A 14-year-old girl is facing charges after a 16-year-old boy was shot and killed in Uniontown. Fayette County dispatchers say emergency crews were called to 32 Wilson Avenue at around 3:16 p.m. on Saturday. Uniontown City Police say the girl shot the boy. She is facing involuntary manslaughter charges and will be charged as a juvenile. A third teen was in the house but fled the scene. Police later questioned that teen and say they witnessed the shooting. Police say the girl thought she was playing with a BB gun, but it was actually a real gun. Authorities say the girl was forthcoming with information and cooperative. Pennsylvania State Police are assisting in the investigation.
