At Least Three Dead After Severe Storms

Severe storms with suspected tornadoes have damaged homes and businesses and killed at least three people in the central United States. Officials scrambled Friday morning to assess the extent of the destruction with the power out. The three reported deaths came in Logan County, Ohio. Thursday night’s storms also left trails of destruction in Kentucky, Indiana and Arkansas. Officials say there are “many, many significant injuries” after a suspected tornado in Winchester, Indiana. Search efforts are underway there. Officials say a tornado in Kentucky’s Trimble County damaged many structures. A suspected tornado struck the retirement community of Hot Springs Village in Arkansas.
