CARROLL TOWNSHIP, Pa. — Authorities say two Washington County residents were killed yesterday afternoon in a head-on crash along Route 837 near the Donora-Monessen Bridge. Officials say it happened just after one o’clock when vehicles driven by 81-year-old Linda Blanker of Venetia, who was traveling south, and 48-year-old Michael Bove of McMurray, who was traveling north, collided. Both drivers were pronounced dead at the scene. Police are continuing to investigate the cause of the crash.
