Thanks to Washington County residents and businesses, our annual 2000 Turkeys campaign has surpassed its goal. More than $234,000 has been raised. It means that needy families throughout the county will have a complete Thanksgiving dinner on Thursday. It was projected that we would need $200,000 to provide those meals. The total was announced at WJPA Wednesday morning. All money raised stays right here in Washington County to help our neighbors. You can still make a donation by sending a check to; 2000 Turkeys, P.O. Box 2000, Washington, Pa. 15301. Donations are still coming in, and an updated total will be announced next week.
