Washington County District Attorney Jason Walsh says three people have formally been charged in connection with a drive by shooting in Canonsburg on July 23.  Two of the suspects were taken into custody in the City of Washington early Friday morning. Walsh says multiple agencies were involved, including the District Attorney Drug Task Force, Sheriff’s Department, and Washington County Regional SWAT.  31 year old Dillon Britt was taken into custody along Church Street while 30 year old Brett Carroll was apprehended at a residence along Walnut Street.  The third person arrested is Jessica Chatman-Carroll of Houston.  The District Attorney says Britt and Carroll are known felons who are not permitted to possess firearms.  The shooting occurred at a home in the 500-block of Perry Como Street. According to the affidavit of probable cause, there were 21 bullet impact points on the residence.  There were three people inside the home at the time including a six-year old girl. Witnesses identified a grey minivan going past the home and firing shots.  Surveillance footage from near the scene showed all three in the vehicle with Chatman-Carroll identified as the driver.  According to the criminal complaint, Chatman-Carroll admitted to being the driver and even bragged about it. Walsh says all three are charged with Criminal Attempt Homicide, Aggravated Assault, and related offenses.  Preliminary hearing dates had not yet been scheduled.
