EAST LANSDOWNE, Pa. (AP) — Six members of a family are feared dead from a fire at a house in suburban Philadelphia that went up in flames as two police officers who responded to the scene were shot. Among those feared dead are three children. Delaware County District Attorney Jack Stollsteimer told reporters Thursday that a human torso and a rifle were recovered from the home in East Lansdowne. He’s cautioning the probe is in its early stages as investigators sought clues to the fire and a shooting there on Wednesday afternoon that also wounded two responding police officers.
