9/11 Anniversary Brings Biden, Harris & Trump Together

NEW YORK (AP) — Some 9/11 victims’ relatives have appealed to presidential candidates for accountability as the U.S. marks an anniversary laced with election-season politics. President Joe Biden, former President Donald Trump and Vice President Kamala Harris stood together at ground zero Wednesday, hours after Trump and Harris had their first debate Tuesday night. If the officials put politics aside, some victims’ loved ones delivered their own political messages. Biden and Harris later laid wreaths at the Flight 93 National Memorial in Pennsylvania and the Pentagon, and Trump separately laid wreaths at the Flight 93 memorial. Nearly 3,000 people were killed when hijacked planes crashed at ground zero, the Pentagon and the Pennsylvania site on Sept. 11, 2001.
