Nine Juveniles Who Escaped Detention Center In Custody

MORGANTOWN, Pa (AP) — State police say nine juveniles who escaped from a detention center in Pennsylvania and remained at large for less than a day are in custody. Pennsylvania State Police Trooper David Beohm said all nine were captured early Monday. The youths escaped From Abraxas Academy at around 8:00 p.m. on Sunday following a disturbance. Abraxas Academy is a secure residential treatment program northwest of Philadelphia. Beohm said that four youths turned themselves in after hours on the run because they were cold. Five others were captured after a report of a stolen vehicle.
