The southbound lanes of Interstate 79 were shutdown for several hours Tuesday morning after a tractor trailer accident near mile-marker 38 just before the Interstate 79/70 split. Authorities say the accident happened just before three o’clock. The big-rig, which was carrying 70,000 pounds of groceries from Michigan, ended up on its side. There were no injuries and no word on the cause of the crash. Traffic was getting by slowly, on the shoulder of the interstate. The highway reopened just before eleven o’clock.
