State Senator Camera Bartolotta (R-46) announced $4 million dollars in transportation grants that will aid local projects. Washington County will receive funding for three projects. North Strabane Township will receive $639,641 to widen McDowell Lane to add a two direction bike lane. East Bethlehem Township will receive $777,570 to replace storm sewers along Crawford Road and Strawberry Street. The Donora Lock, LLC will receive $1.6 million to rebuild the dock wall at the Donora River Terminal.Greene County will receive $1 million to replace the structurally deficient bridge number 7 in Perry Township. The grants were approved by the Commonwealth Financing Authority through its Multimodal Transportation Fund Program.
