PennDot has announced its plan to close Bebout Road in Peters Township as part of its work on the reconstruction of its intersection with East McMurray Road. Bebout Road will be closed from East McMurray Road to Sugar Camp Road. The closure begins on May 27. A detour has been posted and is expected to last through mid to late July. The detour is East McMurray Road to Valleybrook Road to Bebout Road. The scope of work is to add turning lanes to East McMurray Road in both directions and to add a westbound right turn lane to Bebout Road. Construction on the entire project is anticipated to last through late November.
