Canonsburg Man Facing Homicide Trial

A Canonsburg man will face trial for a fatal shooting that occurred on Giffin Avenue on September 6. Kristopher Moorehouse, 20 had charges of homicide, aggravated assault and reckless endangerment held for court at his preliminary hearing. Moorehouse is accused of shooting 25 year old Brady Paul at a party being held in the house. According to a witness, DeAngelo Perkins, a scuffle over unwanted romantic advances by Paul to be intimate with Moorehouse’s girlfriend Gianna Abajace broke out. Perkins testified to seeing the scuffle and hearing gunshots but not seeing who shot Paul. Abajace testified to the unwanted advances and hearing but not seeing three gunshots. Canonsburg Police Sgt. Anthony Cancilla testified that during an interview, Moorehouse admitted to shooting Paul twice in self-defense. Moorehouse remains in the Washington County Jail without bond.
