Catholic Schools Week Is Underway

Catholic Schools Week is underway across the country. Since 1974, National Catholic Schools Week is the annual celebration of Catholic education in the United States. It starts the last Sunday in January and runs all week through February 3rd. The theme for National Catholic Schools Week 2024 is “Catholic Schools: United in Faith and Community.” Schools typically observe the annual celebration week with Masses, open houses and other activities for students, families, parishioners and community members. Through these events, schools focus on the value Catholic education provides to young people and its contributions to our church, our communities and our nation. Here in Washington County, JFK’s celebration will culminate in an Open House on Saturday, February 3rd from ten a.m. until noon. Father Ed Yuhas, Pastor of Saint James and Katherine Drexel Parishes is inviting the public to tour the school and meet the students and teachers.  (Photo:  JFK Facebook Page)
