Charges were withdrawn against a man alleged to be involved in the shooting that killed Kristin Barfield on her porch on May 11. Javaar Thomas (pictured left) remains at large and City of Washington Police Chief Dan Rush tells WJPA the charges withdrawn on Monday are because of contradictory evidence surrounding Thomas’ participation in the shooting. District Attorney Jason Walsh states that the investigation continues into Thomas’ involvement and charges will be filed again as evidence warrants. Two other men alleged to be involved in the shooting have been arrested. Brandon Allen, 30 and Tyriq Moss, 15 are being held without bond and await their preliminary hearings. Moss, a juvenile is being charged as an adult.
