A Belle Vernon elementary school student who was flown to a Pittsburgh hospital Friday morning after being struck by a vehicle while waiting on her school bus has died. Police said six-year-old Aria Woznick was walking with a group of about six other children in the 400 block of Fayette Street in North Belle Vernon when she apparently stepped into traffic and was struck by a vehicle. Authorities say it happened just after 8 o’clock. Police say the driver stopped and is cooperating in the investigation. The girl was a student at Marion Elementary School and the district released a statement saying they appreciate the community support and they have multiple counselors on hand to provide support for students and staff.
