UPDATE Wednesday, 4:17 pm JoJo Burgess has been elected as Mayor of the City of Washington. Burgess won both the Democrat and Republican nominations in the primary, then held off a general election challenge from independent Mark Kennison. Late afternoon Wednesday, the Washington County Elections Office posted updated numbers in many races, including the Mayor’s race. These new numbers show Burgess receiving 1,064 votes to Kennison’s 1,034. “Complete” tallies late Tuesday night listed the margin at 1,057-1,031. There are also nine write-in votes listed.
