A Claysville man has been charged with three counts of terroristic threats.  Washington County District Attorney Jason Walsh says 26 year old Matthew Boyd threatened to “go into the Washington County Courthouse and shoot people” during a consultation phone call with a law firm on Thursday.  Walsh says he then contacted the Sheriff’s office and detectives then found Boyd in the yard of a home in the 800-block of Ewing Street in Canton Township.  Walsh tells WJPA News that Boyd became “irate and confrontational” and told detectives “it was his second amendment right to shoot up the courthouse since they represent the government”. He also threatened to shoot up UPMC Washington Hospital.  Boyd was taken into custody and is last reported lodged in the Washington County jail.  Walsh commended the efforts of his detectives, the Washington County Sheriff’s Department and the City of Washington Police for their quick response to the threats.
