Coroner Identifies Victim Found Along I-70

The Washington County Coroners office has identified the person found early Sunday morning along Interstate 70 eastbound in North Franklin Township as 46 year old Timothy Booker of Avella. A cause and manner of death are pending.  A tractor trailer driver called 911 and reported what appeared to be a person lying in the road near the Chestnut Street on ramp.  According to the coroner, the victim appears to have been struck multiple times, by multiple vehicles.  It is believed he was a pedestrian.  The coroner thanked the South Strabane Township Police Department for their assistance in confirming the identity. State Police are also investigating.
