Avella Man Identified As Person Found Dead Along I-70

Washington County Coroner Tim Warco says the  individual who was found alongside Interstate 70 eastbound, has been identified as 46-year-old Timothy Booker of Avella.  Warco says a tractor trailer driver called 9-1-1 early Sunday to report what appeared to be a person lying along the highway about 200-feet from the on- ramp at Chestnut Street.  ramp.  The coroner said Booker appeared to have been struck multiple times, by multiple vehicles.  A cause and manner of death are pending an autopsy.  State Police are handling the investigation.  Anyone with information is asked to contact State Police or the Washington County Coroner’s office.
