Crews from Pennsylvania American Water Company were called to the scene of a water main break in the 16-hundred block of Park Avenue in North Franklin Township early Tuesday morning around four-thirty. Company officials tell WJPA News that the break involved a 12-inch main and more than 700 customers were without service for several hours. A spokesperson says the repairs were made and the water was turned back on around two-thirty. The roadway was open during the repair work, but motorists were asked to use caution traveling through the work zone. The break forced the Trinity School district to switch to remote instruction for Intermediate School and Middle School students. All other students reported to school as usual.
