HANOI, Vietnam (AP) — A bridge collapsed and a bus was swept away by flooding as more rain fell on Vietnam from a former typhoon that has caused 59 deaths in the Southeast Asian country. Vietnam’s state media said nine people died during the typhoon and 50 others died during the consequent floods and landslides. Several rivers remained dangerously high. A passenger bus carrying 20 people was swept into a flooded stream in Cao Bang province, and landslides were blocking rescuers. In Phu Tho province, rescue operations were continuing after a steel bridge over the engorged Red River collapsed. Thirteen people were missing. Yagi earlier caused 20 deaths in the Philippines and four in China.
