Fatal Pedestrian-Train Accident In Charleroi

The Washington County Coroner’s office has not yet released the identity of the person killed after being struck by a train in downtown Charleroi Tuesday night. Officials say it happened around 10 p.m. when the person was struck by a Norfolk Southern Train near 7th Street and Railroad Way. Officials are still working to notify the next of kin. Norfolk Southern and Charleroi Police continue to investigate.
