Fluid Spill Temporarily Closes Route 19 In Peters Township

HAZMAT was called to a fluid spill early Wednesday morning in Peters Township.  Washington County 9-1-1 says it happened just before 5 a.m. in the four-thousand block.  A garbage truck reportedly lost a significant amount of hydraulic fluid onto the roadway.  That forced officials to close both northbound lanes between Crosswinds Drive and E. McMurray Road.  The garbage truck left the scene.  Crews were able to reopen both lanes by 6:30 a.m.  HAZMAT crews had to leave the scene to deal with a pair of tractor trailer accidents along Interstate 70 westbound in North Franklin Township.
