I-70 East Open After Accident In West Alexander

WEST ALEXANDER, Pa. — All eastbound lanes of Interstate 70 near the state line were closed due to a multi-vehicle rollover accident Friday morning. The incident occurred after 8:30 a.m. between the West Alexander exit and the ramp to the Welcome Center around mile marker 3. Reports say a disabled tractor trailer was hit by a passing pickup truck causing the closure. The driver of the pickup truck was reportedly transported to Washington Hospital. There is no word on the injury or condition. The road finally reopened for travel around 10:00 a.m.
