DEIR AL-BALAH, Gaza Strip (AP) — Health officials in Gaza say Israeli strikes over the past 24 hours have killed at least 38 people, including children. There is no data available for a second straight day from Gaza’s now-inaccessible hospitals in the north. Meanwhile, more details have emerged of the local doctor who lost nine of her 10 children in an Israeli strike. A relative says the children’s charred remains were brought to the morgue in a single body bag. The Health Ministry says 3,785 people have been killed in Gaza since Israel ended a ceasefire in March. The U.S. Homeland Security secretary is visiting Israel.
