Limited Extended Poll Hours At Chartiers 3 Precinct

Washington County Officials have announced that polls in the Chartiers 3 precinct will remain open an additional two hours for twenty three people affected by signature issues between 7:00 am and 11:00 am. Polls will officially close at 10:00 pm for those voters. The election issue is at the Chartiers 3 precinct that votes at Miraculous Medal Church in Meadowlands. According to several officials, a Judge of Elections was removed, and a hearing was held in front of Common Pleas Court Judge Tracy McDonald. Following that hearing, elections officials used a number of methods to try to reach some 23 electors who voted between 7 & 11 am via paper ballot at the precinct. Those electors were asked to return to the church and cast and emergency provisional ballot before the polls closed at 8 pm. Judge McDonald will rule after the polls close on how to proceed.
