Voters across Pennsylvania went to the polls Tuesday for the Primary Election. Polls opened at 7 a.m. and closed at 8 p.m. There were countywide races for Controller, Recorder of Deeds, and Sheriff. There were also four magisterial district judge races. Locally, there were municipal and school board races. Statewide races for Superior Court and Commonwealth Court Judge were also on the ballot. Washington County Elections Director Melanie Ostrander told WJPA that because it was an off-year election, she expected a very low voter turnout, just about twenty-percent.
