PennDot is announcing single lane restrictions on Interstate 79 north between Exit 38 (I 70 West, Wheeling, WV) and Exit 41 (Racetrack Road) beginning August 24 at 7:00 PM until August 28 at 6:00 AM. Those same restrictions will begin again on September 7 and last through September 11. The northbound passing lane will be restricted around the clock. Outside these dates, overnight restrictions from 8:00 PM through 6:00 AM alternating northbound and southbound are anticipated through early November.
