Ligonier Woman Dies After Tree Branch Accident

A Ligonier woman has died following an incident where a large tree branch fell on her. The accident took place on Wednesday evening in McKeesport during a softball camp at Renzie Park. Gendie Miller was reportedly sitting under the tree with her husband when there were cracking noises and a large branch fell, striking her in the head. She was trapped underneath the branch. Witnesses came to her aid and first responders rushed her to a nearby hospital. She stopped breathing and was pronounced dead. A GoFundMe fundraiser has been created to help with the family’s medical bills and lost wages.
