Authorities are searching for a suspect after a mail carrier from Washington County was injured Wednesday afternoon during an attempted armed robbery in Bridgeville. Officials with the United States Postal Inspection Service say the attempted armed robbery took place along McLaughlin Run Road in Bridgeville around 2:30. The mail carrier was injured and was taken for treatment at a nearby hospital, but the extent of his injuries was not released. The condition of the injured mail carrier wasn’t released, but WJPA News has learned that he is doing well.
The U.S. Postal Inspection Service is leading the investigation along with police officers from Bridgeville and Upper St. Clair who also responded to the scene of the incident.
