HOMESTEAD, Pa. – (WPXI) – A man is dead after a house fire in Homestead. An Allegheny County 911 dispatch official says police, fire and EMS were sent to a home on West 12th Avenue just before 11:30 a.m. Allegheny County Police Department said a man was trapped inside the second floor of the house when crews arrived. He was rescued and taken to a hospital. At 5 p.m. on Saturday, Allegheny County Police announced that the man had died from his injuries. They did not release his exact age but said he was elderly.
