Man Jailed After Firing At McDonald Police

The man charged with firing multiple shots from several guns at Police and other in McDonald Borough is now in the Allegheny County Jail without bond.  45 year old Stephen Budai was arraigned on four counts each of aggravated assault and reckless endangering another person as well as two counts of possession of instruments of crime.  Police say a search of his home in the 300-block of Fairmont Street uncovered 11 guns including 5 handguns and 6 long guns as well as approximately 600 rounds of ammunition.  Both the Washington County and Allegheny County SWAT teams were called to the scene late Monday night.  Officials say a McDonald Police cruiser was struck 11 times by gunfire with two window shot out and a tire flattened.  The nearby Belgium Club was also hit with gunfire.
