Washington Man Killed In Mercer County Accident

The Mercer County Coroner’s Office has announced that a Washington man was killed in an auto-pedestrian accident in the 1700 block of U.S Highway 19 in Fairview Township.  92 year old Edward Wiszczor was pronounced dead at the scene Sunday evening around 7 p.m.  He died of multiple blunt force trauma and his death has been ruled accidental.  Officials say Wiszczor was approaching the highway from the west berm and failed to observe a vehicle traveling south and entered onto the highway where he was struck by the oncoming vehicle.
