Man Shot & Killed In Duquesne

DUQUESNE, Pa. — A man is dead after a shooting in Duquesne.  Allegheny County dispatchers say police and medics were called to the 25 block of N 2nd Avenue at 6:14 p.m. on Saturday.  When police arrived, they found a man who had been shot in the chest. He died at the scene.  The Office of the Allegheny County Medical Examiner identified the man killed as Lamont Nichols, 30, of Pittsburgh.  The Allegheny County Police Department detained two people at the scene and later charged Latiya Demeaterce Hicks, 24, of Braddock, with criminal homicide.  Hicks is being held at the Allegheny County Jail without bond while awaiting arraignment.
