North Franklin Township Supervisors broke ground on Thursday for their new Municipal Complex. The proposed $2.5 million facility will be 7400 square feet and will house not only all municipal offices it will offer township residents a community center to hold private gatherings. The design calls for an 1800 square foot conference room that can be divided into two smaller rooms of 1200 and 600 square feet based on client need. To accommodate events with food, the center will have a warming kitchen. The building is located near the township’s Waterside Park that is behind the Pennsylvania American Water storage facility on Franklin Farms Road. Supervisor Chairman Bob Sabot says the project has been in the works for 20 years. He states that the project is being built without raising taxes. The project is expected to be completed around Labor Day of 2023.
