Mass Russian Attack Kills 1, Wounds Dozens

KYIV, Ukraine (AP) — Russia has launched a mass attack on southern Ukraine, officials report. This comes two days after a rare airstrike on Kyiv killed 23 people. The attack overnight into Saturday hit a residential building in the Zaporizhzhia region, killing at least one civilian and wounding 28 others. Ukraine’s Air Force reports that Russia launched 537 strike drones and 45 missiles. Ukrainian forces shot down or neutralized most of them. Meanwhile, Ukraine continues to strike Russian oil refineries, causing fires and highlighting vulnerabilities. Separately, Ukraine’s former parliament speaker was shot dead in Lviv, prompting an investigation.
