Monongahela Man Sentenced For Assault

On Tuesday Morning, a Monongahela man learned of his fate after being arrested last summer for aggravated assault. Shawn Greenough, 36, allegedly shoved a woman during an argument, in which he was drunk, to the ground in his Jackson Street apartment on June 18^th of 2022. According to authorities, Greenough resisted arrest by head-butting an officer and the wall inside of his apartment. According to the complaint, Greenough then head-butted the window inside of the police cruiser, causing it to break. Greenough was sentenced to seven-and-a-half to 23 months in jail, and was ordered to pay over $3,000 in restitution and to have no contact with the victim.
