North Strabane Reviews Plans For Theatre Improvement

North Strabane Township Supervisors met Tuesday for their agenda meeting and were asked to approve a parking lot plan for Little Lake Theatre. The parking lot that exists right now is all gravel and proves difficult for patrons with mobility problems to get in and out of their cars. The plan calls for the parking lot surrounding the building to be paved and lined with an accessibility drop off area included for patrons with mobility concerns. Patty Knapp, Managing Director of Little Lake Theatre Company says the primary goal of the project is to improve the patron experience and improve the look of the space. Funding for the project is from grants received from the Washington Community Foundation, Local Share Account, EQT and the Washington County Tourism and Promotion Agency. Supervisors will also consider approval of advertising and ordinance change that would make Garden Street a no left turn intersection onto State Route 980. A public hearing for that ordinance change would be scheduled for June 20.
