New Kensington Fugitive Captured In Monroeville After 11 Months On The Run

MONROEVILLE, Pa. – The U.S. Marshals’ Fugitive Task Force have made an arrest of a New Kensington fugitive who had been on the run since September of last year. Officials say they captured Omari Parker Jr. on Thursday. Parker was wanted for a shooting that killed an individual in Vanderbilt Borough Fayette County on September 17th. The fugitive was also wanted for robbery in Westmoreland County. The task force was alerted that Parker was spotted at a Monroeville hotel. Authorities took him in without incident. Helping in the arrest were the Monroeville Police Department, the Penn Township Police and K-9 Unit as well as the Pittsburgh Police Department.
