Authorities are investigating the cause of an accident Sunday night just after eight o’clock that left an Oakdale man dead. Authorities say 55-year-old Charles Amic was the driver of a vehicle that was traveling south on Route 980 in Cecil Township when he crossed the center line and collided with a vehicle in the opposite lane. Police confirm he was wearing a seatbelt. A passenger in Amic’s vehicle and the driver of the other vehicle were both taken to the hospital. There’s been no word on their identities or the nature of their injuries.
