Pedestrian Struck And Killed By Car In Chartiers Township

The pedestrian who was killed early Saturday morning has been identified by police as 21-year-old Phillip Frye of Meadowlands.  Authorities say Frye was struck by a vehicle heading south on Pike Street in Chartiers Township just after two o’clock.  Washington County 911 says the driver of the vehicle remained at the scene.  Washington County officials were assisted by Canonsburg Ambulance, the Chartiers Township Fire Department and the Pennsylvania State Police Crash Reconstruction Unit.
