The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation announced several road work projects that they want to alert motorists to. On Route 50/Washington Avenue in Carnegie, concrete patching, sawcutting, joint sealing and other construction activities will require single lane alternating traffic patterns between Boden Avenue and Lincoln Avenue and between Academy Street and East Main Street. Those activities will begin on Wednesday Sept. 6 and run through Monday Sept. 11. Additionally, a daylight lane restriction will occur on the Thornburg Bridge in Crafton. The intermittent restriction will be at the Rt. 60/Ingram Avenue/Woodmere Avenue intersection on weekdays from 7:00 am to 5:30 pm through Sept. 15. In addition, concrete work will occur on Sept. 5 and 6 at the southern approach to the bridge. Motorists can monitor construction conditions at www.511PA.com.
