Peters Township Holds Open House For New High School

The Peters Township School District held an open house on Saturday to allow residents to tour the new the new high school. The public got to view the $100,000,000 building that took two years of planning. Residents that took guided tours of the building were all in agreement that the building is beautiful and remarkable. Residents got to see the 1,200 seat auditorium, 2,400 seat gymnasium and three classrooms. Also on the tour was the Learning Commons that is the replacement for a library. It contains research books and the media center but it also contains classrooms and a central meeting place for students. The Learning Stairs is a unique feature where students may gather on a set of stairs to plug in computing devices and gather for meetings, presentations and any other general purpose. The building opened to students in January of 2021.
