PITTSBURGH — (WPXI) – Westinghouse Academy students will return to in-person classes one week after four students were shot and injured on school grounds. Those four students were shot on Tuesday, Feb. 14. Three boys and one girl were shot and all are expected to survive. After the shooting, students began learning remotely for the rest of the week. Pittsburgh Public Schools announced on Sunday that students and staff would begin returning this week. Students will learn from home on Monday but will return to school in different phases throughout the rest of the week. 6-8 grade students will go back on Tuesday and 9-12 grade students will go back on Wednesday. A spokesperson for Pittsburgh Public Schools said the local law enforcement is working with school administrators to add new safety measures for the arrival and dismissal of students.
