Police Chase & Shooting Under Investigation

One person was shot and flown to a Pittsburgh hospital early Saturday morning following a police chase.  Washington County 9-1-1 dispatchers tell WJPA news it began with officers being called to the Main Street Tavern in the 200-block of Main Street in Monongahela just after 1 a.m.   When officers arrived a chase ensued but ended a short time later in Forward Township in Allegheny County. Dispatchers say a suspect was shot when that chase ended and was then flown by medical helicopter from the scene.  No other details are currently available including the identity or condition of the person shot.  Police continue to investigate.
