
Slow-moving storms soaked the area Friday night, bringing widespread flooding. From the Mon Valley to Salem in Westmoreland County, rain was slow and heavy at times. According to our news partners at Channel 11, storms developed around 3 p.m. over Allegheny and Westmoreland counties with repeated rounds of heavy rain. More than 2.5 inches of rain fell in Irwin, Westmoreland County and more than 2.25 inches of rain fell in Pittsburgh. About 10 people in North Versailles were displaced, due to flooding.
