An early morning accident on Interstate 79 North sent one person to a Pittsburgh hospital. Washington County 9-1-1 dispatchers indicate that emergency crews were dispatched shortly after 2:00 am Saturday to mile marker 49.5. A vehicle left the road, ran up an embankment and rolled over. One person was injured and transported to Mercy Hospital in Pittsburgh. Emergency crews from Cecil Township and North Strabane Township had the accident scene cleared inside of one hour.
