Santa Claus Is Comin’ To Town

Santa Claus is coming to town Friday night. The annual downtown Washington Christmas Parade will officially kick-off the holiday season in the city, and along with it, the annual Holiday Market. The market opens at four p.m. at the Community Pavilion on South Main Street and will continue up until the start of the parade at seven o’clock. Organizers say the market will feature entertainment, food and plenty of area vendors…plus…and opportunity to visit with the star of the show – Santa Claus. At seven o’clock, the parade kicks off and follows the traditonal route from Chestnut Street through downtown to Railroad Street. The parade will feature many units, including marching bands, floats and this year, farm animals.
